Action for Persons With Neuropathic Pain (ACTION NeP) is a new and innovative not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to champion better and faster access to new pain manage-ment treatments and therapies. Like other not-for-profit groups interested in this issue, ACTION shares the view that greater public awareness of this debilitating condition will draw attention to the desperate need for more resources and a targeted, co-ordinated response from government and the healthcare system to make life more liveable for patients.

What ’s unique about ACTION is its focus on Neuropathic Pain and on “big picture public policy.” ACTION works closely with elected officials, government ministries, health delivery organizations, healthcare providers, researchers and other specialists involved in long-range planning to help identify gaps in public policy. ACTION's goal is to ensure that decision-makers and planners have access to accurate, up-to-date information so they can make informed, timely decisions.
